Genie Zoom Boom
Bud Bushnell founded Genie Industries in 1966, after he purchased the manufacturing rights to a material lift which functioned on compressed air. The name Genie originated from the "magic in the bottle" that was used to raise and lower the hoist. This mechanism really impressed lots of customers and hence, the name was established.
Genie expanded operations and established itself into different new markets, because the demand for work lifts and platforms grew. Over time, when the requirements for new machinery to meet numerous applications grew, the company made itself recognized in numerous new markets. For instance, Genie went into manufacturing light towers, man-lifts, articulated booms, stick booms and telehandlers.
Because of the economic slump in the beginning of the 2000s, Genie decided to acquire a partner who held the same values. They partnered up with Terex Corporation. This company has a history obtaining equipment manufacturers across the world who proved to be a good business match. Genie Industries was sold during 2002 and became a part of Terex Corporation.
Because of the Genie name and its solid reputation within the workplace, it was decided to maintain the Genie brand as part of the Terex Aerial Work Platforms. This was only decided after the initial few years following the sale. Therefore, all Genie equipment continue to be marketed under the Genie brand.
Genie takes pride in listening to their customers. The company is dedicated to continually improving quality and efficiency and is also committed to lessening waste. Even long after the sale has been closed, the company concentrates on providing outstanding support. These are the very work disciplines that have made Genie a trusted brand over the last decades and continue to keep their reputation for top-of-the-line and quality machinery.
Genie's Bi-Energy and DC machinery are emission-free, quiet machinery capable of working in delicate work environments. Where the machine must be driven significant distances, like within industrial situations, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits of a 48V DC machine along with the power of a diesel-powered generator.
As opposed to any of the various kinds of aerial platforms, telescopic booms provide more horizontal reach overall. These equipment are great for limited access places in construction and other industrial settings. The Genie Telescopic S booms have been designed to provide utmost productivity. These machinery provide the drive speed and supreme traction you require in order to travel around the job area and work site.
