Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed so as to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, so as to keep the operator working as effectively as he or she could.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low thanks to the insulated mounting on the chassis. To be able to maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all independently adjustable. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 easy to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers which are offered for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the horn and window washers.
To guarantee a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air that is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for heating, cooling, defrosting and recirculation. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units which are all within easy reach. Basic instrumentation includes: low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Additionally, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, fuel quantity and operating time.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is one of the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors that occur and their current values.
