Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex offers Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial environments where the equipment must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Some of the important features provided by this combination include out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also provide precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. The 48V DC electric drive system provides quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive environments. There are jib boom models available to function with an extra working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machines by Terex are great for both indoor and outdoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machinery are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, utmost power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are quiet overall as well. Nearly all models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, offer the rough terrain features and high ground clearance that make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
