Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is designed to lift workers is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
