JLG Telehandlers Alberta
After spending many years working along with his brother to establish their crane manufacturing company into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to retire. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip utilizing their recreational vehicle. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading producer of specialized material handling machines and mobile aerial work platforms.
During the R.V. trip, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. When they were visiting the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a equipment that can quickly and safely raise people into the air to be able to carry out construction and maintenance work.
John decided to take action after John and his wife returned from the trip. He began a partnership with two dear friends when they bought a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an initial team of 20 staff, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous parts of the basic design elements of that first equipment are still being integrated into the current machinery
The company has come a very long way since John L. Grove came back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown significantly ever since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Numerous innovative machinery are designed to help customers work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained dedicated to being at the forefront of the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They try to deliver in performance, in addition to overall comfort and safety so that the driver could be as effective as possible.
